Kenneth B. Hash, age 84 of Buford, Georgia passed away on Saturday January 31, 2015. Memorial Services will be held 3:00 P.M. on Thursday February 5, 2015 at the Buford First United Methodist Church, 285 East Main Street, Buford, Georgia 30518 www.bufordfirstumc.org. Graveside services will be held 2:30 P.M. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery 1200 Bailey Ave., Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mr. Hash was born November 1, 1930 in Chattanooga, Tennessee and spent most of his child hood in Savannah, Georgia. He joined the United States Air Force in September of 1952 and married his wife Mary Alice Slatton on June 1, 1956 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mr. and Mrs. Hash lived in Chattanooga Tennessee until 1976 then moved to Atlanta, Georgia when he received a promotion with the company he worked for National Posters/Southern National Posters. He retired in 2000 and moved to Buford Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents; Elbert Terry and Ella Louise Hash, Brothers Curtis Hash and Bill Hash, Sisters, Francis Hembree and Mary Ann Young. Survivors include: Wife: Mary Alice Hash; Daughters: Kathy Lee Hash and Karen H. Cain; Grandson: Casey Cain, Sister: Martha Gootee, Son-in-law: Charles E. Cain, Cousins: Shirley Crump, Mary Charles Winkler and Janis Hollingsworth Smith. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M at First United Methodist Church of Buford, 285 East Main Street, Buford, Georgia 30518. Jan and I are so sorry to hear of Kenneths passing. Please pass on our thoughts and prayers for Mary Alice and the family. I will always remember the love Kenneth and Mary Alice had for each other. The short time they lived across from me were good times, Kenneth always made me laugh. I will always remember him as a good man, he will be missed.

I am saddened to hear the news of Mr. Hash’s passing. Kathy Lee, his daughter, is a dear friend of mine. I never met Mr. Hash but know him through Kathy Lee. My heart goes out to this family and such a huge loss. Blessings to family and friends.
