Ralph Edward “Ray” Maffeo, at the age of 85, passed away peacefully Saturday morning July 18th surrounded by his wife and children.
Ray was born on Staten Island, New York, on November 10, 1929; the son of the late Rose and Antonio Maffeo.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel; Children: Bob, Mitchell, Jackie and
Christine; Grandchildren: Robert, Mark, Adam, Ryan and Megan; and Great Grandchildren: Ella Grace, Emmy, Lilliana, Max and Mason. During his lifetime Ray lived in several states including New Jersey, Tennessee, California, Texas and Georgia.
He was a hard worker and loved to have fun. In fact, the majority of his life he was employed as a stuffed toy designer and manufacturer. He always said he loved his job so much that it did not feel like work. He was also an avid golfer. For the past 20 years, Ray worked at various golf courses in Texas and Georgia as a Golf Course Marshal.
Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He had many friends and relatives throughout the States including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, California, Nevada, Florida and Georgia. He will be extremely missed by his family and friends.
On Saturday, August 1, 2015, at 300 p.m., Ray’s ashes will be spread on the 18th hole at Lanier Golf Course at 2080 Buford Dam Rd in Cumming, Georgia. After the ceremony there will be a gathering at his home at 171 Oakwood Hills Dr in Suwanee to celebrate his life with his family and friends.

I hope Ray finds peace when leaving the memory of his insestuous behavior with daughter Aileen and Granddaughter Amanda, behind. May he no longer be remembered as a molester of his own family members and as a convicted sexual predator.
