Marlene Ginani, nee Stopa, died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on December 7, 2015 in Atlanta at the age of 76.

Marlene was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 11, 1939 to John and Florence Stopa.  Marlene was a lifelong resident of Illinois, living in Cicero and Westchester until moving to Georgia in 1999.  Marlene had a 15 year career as a loan officer for Continental Bank, Olympic Savings and Loan, and Fidelity Bank.

She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Ginani, Jr.  She was a devoted Mother to her daughter, Sandra Boylan (Travis) and son, Kenneth Ginani, and Grandmother to Zoe Boylan.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, John and Florence Stopa; and her sister, Joan Wolski(Jerome).

Marlene was known for her caring, kind nature.  As a Mother, she always made time for her family.  She was fearless and always encouraged her children to try new things, a legacy that lives on with her granddaughter, Zoe.  She could adapt to any to any environment and had a dry wit expressed when you least expected it.  She had many talents, and selflessly channeled all of those into her family.  She loved life, but LOVED being a Grandmother.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life with a Funeral Mass Service on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 11045 Parsons RD, Johns Creek, GA 30097 stbenedict.net with a reception following in the Parish Life Center.
