James Ellis Devereaux, age 68, of The Oaks at Braselton, Hoschton, Georgia, passed away on March 16, 2016.  A memorial graveside service to celebrate the life of James Ellis Devereaux will be held 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Gwinnett Memorial Park, 925 U.S. Highway 29, Lawrenceville, GA 30046 www.gwinnettcemetery.com, with Harold D. Towler officiating.

Mr. Devereaux was born October 5, 1947 in Hinesville, Georgia and lived most of his life in Griffin, Georgia.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he was a champion Army Boxer.  James was a truck driver, who enjoyed fishing, eating out, yard work and gardening, and watching TV.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Delores Devereaux; his mother and father; and four siblings.  James is survived by several nieces and nephews.
