Ruth M. Wilson, born June 29, 1918, went home to our Lord on Monday, July 4, 2016. Born in Stillwater, New York, she resided most of her life in Wichita, Kansas. Married to the late Albert J. Wilson, they had six children, Valerie (Larry) Kanavy of Fort Valley, Virginia, Jeanine Ambrosio of Decatur, Georgia, Maureen (Doug) Bitner of Atglen, Pennsylvania, Tom Wilson of Phoenix, Arizona, Tina (Tim) Donovan of Wichita, Kansas, and Dan Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Ruth was always a goer. She was an avid traveler in her 90’s, enjoying elder hostels and faraway destinations such as France, Ireland, and India. She loved attending musical shows in Wichita and sharing her love for the theatre with family and friends. Her other favorite activities throughout her life were gardening, combing estate sales and playing bridge. She was always busy! In celebration of Ruth’s life, a Rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 10, and a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 11, both at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 3636 North Ridge RD, Wichita, KS 67205. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to Christian Foundation for Children and Aging, 1 Elmwood AVE, Kansas City, KS 66103, or St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church Building Fund.
