Claire Sheppard (Foster) Phillips, 81, of Peachtree Corners, Georgia, left her earthly life on September 13, 2016. A private family memorial will be held. Her cremains will be interred at a later date at the Jefferson Barracks National VA Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Ms. Phillips was born November 26, 1934 in Atlanta, Georgia. She proudly served in the United States Navy during the 1950’s and after military service, she went on to retire from the United States Postal Service in 1996. After a long life of working, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was an avid reader and a lover of trivia. She could find humor in just about anything.
