Mr. Elzie “Lee” Fischer, age 80, of Senoia, Georgia, went to be with Jesus on November 20, 2022.
Lee was born in Griffin, Georgia on February 20, 1942, to the late Augustine and Clara Annie Bell Fischer. His life was filled with the love he had for the Lord, family, friends and his dogs. Lee served in the United States Military, where he received a purple heart. He has always worked and loved what he did. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Also gardening, fishing and playing with his dogs were among his favorite hobbies.
Mr. Fischer is preceded in death by his wife JoAnn Fischer. He is survived by his sons David Fischer, of Senoia, Ga, grandson Durran Fischer and his wife Carly, of Fayetteville, Ga, great granddaughter Ava of Hiram, Ga. Son, Brian Fischer and his wife Jennifer, and grandson, Cody, of Senoia, Ga he is also survived by his brother Charles Fischer and his wife Belva of Griffin, Ga. Sister Mary Jane Merralis of Chicago, IL, and brother Terry Fischer of Arkansas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Lee will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday December 14, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church, 825 Ebenezer Church Road, Sharpsburg, GA 30277. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church.
