Rob, This is beautiful. Your Dad was indeed a great friend. His quick wit was amazing and made being around him so much fun. He always had me laughing. Robert was so compassionate and supportive of his friends. I always walked away feeling better after talking with him- whether from laughing at his humor or his lifting me up with his caring. Usually both! I worked with your Dad in Columbus and in Warm Springs. He touched so many lives – mine included.
The love on his face when he spoke of you was wonderful to see.
Our world has definitely lost a wonderful soul.I know heaven is definitely a lot more fun now! I will miss him.

Rob, so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. I enjoyed working with Robert through the past several years. He was such a kind person and his smile was a welcomed sight on a tough work day. One thing I’ll always remember about him was his concern when he was helping decorate my office for my birthday and accidentally broke a glass award. He felt so remorseful and went to great extremes to replace it at his expense. That was an example of his kindness but not a surprising gesture from Robert.
Randall W Medeiros says
He is a person that made a difference. He helped hundreds of people with mental health and substance abuse problems throughout his life. He was a selfless person that everyone loved. He was a great friend and will be missed

Rest in Peace, Mr. Miller. You will be missed.
I grew up with Mr. Miller’s son. I remember the first time I saw Mr. Miller and his son, Robbie, together. I was about 8 or 9 and they were shooting basketball at the old recreation center at Double Churches/American Little League.
I remember thinking to myself, “Robbie has a cool dad!”
I had the opportunity to spend some time with the pair later in my life. My first impression of Mr. Miller has never changed.

I was so sad to hear of Robert’s passing. I worked with him at a few different treatment programs over the years since 1990. We grew to become good friends, I always thought of him as like the fun, sometimes annoying big brother I never had. I’ll miss his laugh, pulling pranks on him, and how he was always there to listen. I am keeping you in my prayers, Rob. Robert loved you so much.
Linda Collins says

Words are beyond articulation for Robert Miller. Robert was a unique man skilled with wit coupled with compassion. He was infinitely concerned for the client/students he served at Roosevelt Warm Springs. Robert and I would often meet at our favorite eating spot in Warm Springs on Wednesdays for cornbread dressing and vegetables at Chad‘s restaurant. Robert was one of the few counselors who periodically checked on the progress of the students that he was assigned. The agency will definitely miss Robert Miller. My condolences to the family, and I pray God’s speed on Robert’s soul. Shalom! 🙏🏽
Debra Whitten says
My hear breaks that the sweet, funny, Auburn loving Robert, is no longer with us. He was so sweet when I lost my Mother and Father so close together, wanting to plan to do something for me. He always wanted the best for our clients at Roosevelt Warm Springs and would go to length that others wouldn’t. Rest high on that mountain dear friend your work on earth is done. Thank you for being my friend.

Robert was one of my favorite partners on the court! He could get to anything! He gave me the nickname Bad Kitty! We laughed a lot. It was an honor to play with him and call him friend.

He was genuinely one of a kind. He was very special to me because he would always say hello to me and my Service dog, Sera. It may seem trivial to you, but not to me. You see, I had a major trauma happen to me, and Mr. Robert knew that. He knew me before and after. He always treated me the same. May he rest in heavenly peace.
Jonathan Pinkard says

I met Robert a few years ago playing on the same men’s tennis team. Though he liked to win, he never made you feel uptight about your playing. We had a small group of guys that liked to play outside the team too and we could always count on Robert to make a good wise-crack. I really looked forward to those afternoons. I was shocked to hear of his passing. I’m glad I got to know him and hope that his family and close friends find comfort in knowing that he has to be in a better place.
