You were always laid back and so easy going. I can picture you still today with that smile and lil chuckle. You were a hard worker and devoted to your family. Heaven, for those who don’t know who Heaven is, she is one of James grand-daughters, was particularly close to you, she loved her pawpaw so much, “I want my Pawpaw” she said that several times at their last visit this past December. I haven’t gotten to see or talk with you much in the past several years, I guess I just took it for granted that you would always be around, for that I am sorry. You my bother n law will be missed and loved eternally. Watch over us until we all meet again. Rest in Heavenly peace James Helton. You are truly one in a million.
With much love,
Your Texas family

Jimmy, you know how much you meant to me, you understood me! I cherish the phone calls, knowing you hated talking on the phone but we talked for hours, reminiscing & me asking you to help me remember things ( Billy Goat Hill ). The calls were few and in between but I’m so glad we stayed connected… you were a very special brother, papaw, dad, & husband. You will always be in my heart, even though it’s full of holes. I love & miss you so much. Have fun with the family and friends up there & I’ll see you again & we can go fishing 😇🙏🏼💔
