Serge Fleury, age 79 of Columbus, GA, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024 at 8:39 a.m. EST.

Serge Fleury was born in Montreal, Québec, Canada on June 18, 1945 to Gilberte Tanguay and Raymond Fleury. He had a sister named Ginette Fleury and was raised by their grandmother, Eleanor Fleury, and uncle, Marcelle Fleury. Even though he was born and raised in Canada, he hated the cold, so he moved to beautiful Miami where he created some of his favorite memories.

He had a great charisma to him that would draw people towards him and leave them following him. He loved to cook, dance, paint, and would lead people onto the dance floor to celebrate life. Serge was a banquet manager who used to work at the Peabody Hotel, Intercontinental, and Callaway Gardens who worked hard to take care of his responsibilities.

Serge leaves behind a son Marc Fleury; daughter Kayla Fleury; companion Jenny Gosalves; his nieces Caroline and Isabelle and many loved ones. We will rest knowing he is up in Heaven listening and dancing to Johnny Cash.

In memory and in celebration of someone who made this world a brighter and better place.

He will have his memorial mass on August 6, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Church.
