For those who didn’t know: Robert was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in March, 2009, at which time the surgeon who biopsied his lung said not to look it up on Google. We did, of course, discovering he had an incurable disease and the average lifespan was about 8years. I prayed Psalm 34:4 and asked God for more years (50 preferably). He granted us almost 48 years! He became depressed after the housing crash and Weld County had to let him go temporarily, re-hiring him the following year. He eventually retired, and we came back to sea level in addition to seeing our grandkids more. Robert was an outpatient hospice patient for a year. He’d only been in hospice house 5 days when he died. He was the best husband ever and he loved me more than I ever deserved. I’m going to miss him so.
