William “Neil” Holton, 72, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at Columbus Hospice. A Celebration of life will be at 2 o’clock at the Reese Rd., Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints 4400 Reese Rd. this Saturday, February 8, 2025. Neil’s ashes will be spread near Gambrill State Park in Frederick, Maryland.
Neil was born on September 3, 1952, to Colleen Vickers Holton and Dr. Francis “Doc” Holton in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated from Jordan High School.
Neil is survived by his brother, Francis Tanner Holton (Corinne), his stepdaughter, Angela Sellers (Robert), and stepson, Rodney Gilbert. He was known for his profound passion for music and storytelling abilities. In his later years, Neil resided at Magnolia Manor, where he took on the role of the nursing home DJ, bringing joy and entertainment to his fellow residents and the staff.
Neil is predeceased by his father, Dr. Francis “Doc” Holton; his mother, Colleen Holton; his sister, Debrah Carol Holton; his brother, Richard “Rick” Holton; and his beloved wife, Delores Holton. His legacy will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
