William Curtis Nicholson, 70, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Tuesday March 25, 2025, at Emory St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
A memorial service will be help on Friday March 28, 2025, at 4:00 pm at Cox Funeral Home in Hamilton, Georgia. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service for visitation at 3:00 pm.
William was born in Columbus, Georgia on March 20, 1955, to Ruby and Curtis Nicholson. He was a friend to all. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Williams was always smiling and talking.
William had a passion for all things hospitality. He and his wife (Shelia) owned many successful businesses over the years; a bakery, a restaurant, catering company and florist. He made the best cakes in town!
He is survived by his wife Shelia Hartley Nicholson of Columbus, Georgia, his one and only daughter; Courtney Nicholson of Columbus, Georgia, three grandchildren that he adored; Kristian (Tori) Martinez, Harleigh Beth Martinez, Devin (Francisco) Pizarro, and two great-grandchildren; Karsyn and Avery Martinez all of Box Springs, Georgia.
He is proceeded in death by his parents.
Georgia Cremation -Columbus is assisting the family with the arrangements.

So sorry for your loss. I met him at his restaurant on river road and later when we moved to marion found him and his wife had grandchildren at the high school. We sat together for a kit of football games. He was a very nice man and will be missed.

Don’t think I’ve ever met him but once with the family . But they loved him dearly , he brought happiness to the family and made sure everyone always kept a smile on their faces .
