Sheila Hartley Nicholson, 70, of Columbus, GA. Passed away Sunday April 6th, 2025, at St Francis Hospital. A service will be held Friday April the 11th 2025 at Cox Funeral Home in Hamilton, GA. Visitation will be 2pm-3 pm with the service immediately following at 3 pm.
Sheila was born on December 18,1954 in Macon, GA to Hugh and Nella Hartley.
Sheila was very talented and creative. She had an eye for design and creating. After high school Sheila attended Georgia College where she gained a Bachelors Degree in Home Economics. As a college graduate, Sheila planted her roots in Columbus where she would marry the love of her life and best friend, William. William and Sheila had one child. Courtney (daughter) was the light of their lives, and they were wonderful parents.
Sheila and William owned a successful bakery, florist, and restaurant over the years making a name for themselves within the community. From beautiful floral arrangements to gorgeous wedding cakes, out of this world catering, and good ole soul food – “Magnolia” did it all.
Sheila had 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren that she adores. She loved spending time with them. Sheila loved the beach, fashion, Starbucks coffee, Mardi Gras, cheetah print, and shopping!
She is survived by her loving daughter, Courtney Nicholson, of Columbus, GA, three grandchildren, Kristian (Tori) Martinez, Devin (Francisco) Pizarro, and Harleigh Beth Martinez all of Box Springs, GA and two great grandchildren, Avery and Karsyn Martinez of Box Springs, GA.
She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Georgia Cremation-Columbus is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I am so sorry to see that Sheila passed right after William. Least they are together again in Heaven. I first met her at their restaurant and then again in Marion County. We sat at all the football games cheering on our children/grandchildren. She will be missed.

So sorry for your loss , just experience it myself and my brother and sisters as well. , prayers for all of you at this time , rest assured that my mom and your mom are having a great old time in heaven as well as William and my dad , there all together in glory. No pain , no sorrow just joy that they are all together .
