Brenda Marsha Horowitz passed from this life on June 20th, 2025. Brenda was born on October 13th, 1942, in Bronx, New York, to parents Sam and Yetta Edelman. She was raised in Sun Valley, California, alongside her sisters, Barbara and Sandra.
Brenda graduated from Polytechnic High School. It was during a school dance that she met the love of her life, Charles Horowitz. The couple would go on to get married in 1961 and spend 56 wonderful years together before Charles’ passing in 2017. Brenda grew up in the Jewish faith at the Temple Beth Shalom. She spent the majority of her life living in different areas of California before moving to Peachtree City, Georgia, for the last decade. Brenda was baptized on September 9, 2018 at Evergreen Church in Peachtree City.
Brenda enjoyed walking, exercising, knitting, bowling, watching her soaps, and Hallmark movies. She had a love of helping others, spending time with her neighbors, friends, and family. She enjoyed cruising around on her golf cart and attending activities for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Yetta Edelman, and her husband, Charles Horowitz. She is survived by her children; Roberta (Greg) Dunn of Peachtree City, GA, and Jenny (David) Mann of Simi Valley, CA, her grandchildren; Natalie (Justen) Lovell, Daylen Dunn, and Evy Dunn, her great-grandchildren; Harper and Brynleigh Lovell, and her siblings; Barbara Karroll and Sandra Koven.
She will be remembered for her kindness and gentle heart. She had a positive outlook on life with genuine love for others and a wonderful sense of humor. Her love and pride for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were above all else.
The family will hold a celebration of Brenda’s life on July 12, 2025, at Evergreen Church Peachtree City (400 Windgate Rd. Peachtree City, GA 30269) at 1:00pm. The family asks that guests wear happy colors to celebrate her life.
