Mr. Thomas Lamar Teal, 66, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away peacefully on
Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Piedmont Columbus Regional. The family will have a
private memorial.

Tony was born on September 25, 1959, in Columbus, GA, to the late Mary and Billy
Lamar Teal. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Randy Teal and Robby
Teal and his sister Michele Teal.

Tony graduated from Kendrick High school and went to work for West Point Pepperell
Mill for over 20 years.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Teal; two sons Daniel Sewell (Kristen) of
Phenix City, AL and Donnie Poe (Jessie) of Phenix City Alabama and two cherished
grandchildren, Samuel Poe and Kadyn Broadwater; his sister Tina Etheridge (Jack); his
brother Robert Teal; his nephew, Brandon Teal (Lauren) and two nieces, Tara
Etheridge (Jason) and Derrian Teal and one great nephew, Rhys Teal and a host of
other relatives and friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Georgia Cremation Columbus is assisting the family with arrangements.

    Ive known tony and sandra since 1994 worked with tonys wife tony was a great person very quit person he loved those boys and cared for his wife he will be missed.RIP Tony

    Tony had a great big heart. I last saw him at his Mom’s funeral. I remember when we were kids and all played together when we lived in Wilson arts. I know he’s having a wonderful time getting to be with Jesus, his mom and brothers and sister. Rip my cousin. I will see you again. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
