Ilona Geer Bishop, 59, passed away on November 28, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on September 10, 1966, in Marburg, Germany. Ilona was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a loving aunt to her three nephews. She honored her late sister’s wishes by ensuring the boys remained together under one roof, something she took great pride in. Ilona shared 35 beautiful years of marriage with the love of her life, Mark Bishop, who stood by her side with unwavering care throughout her illness.
Ilona brought sunshine to every room she entered. She was full of life—upbeat, joyful, and always ready to make others laugh. She loved people deeply and wholeheartedly, never meeting a stranger and always willing to give anything she had to someone in need. Ilona had a passion for adventure, especially riding dune buggies and spending time making memories with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsa Geer, and her sister, Christina Andersen.
Ilona is survived by her husband, Mark Bishop; her daughters, Hope Greer (Ashton) and Emily Bishop (Axle); her stepson, Steven Myers (Brandy); and her beloved grandchildren, Paisley Greer, Cody Myers, Carter Myers, and Cannon Myers.
She is also survived by her brother, David Geer; her stepfather, Dale Geer; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation or formal funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on December 6, 2025, at Fort Perry Baptist Church to honor and remember her.
Georgia Cremation-Columbus is assisting the family with the arrangements.

The earliest memories began back in middle school when I met Ilona. I remember going to Skateland when roller skating was what kids did. Over the years of High School she was always laughing, giggling or plain having fun in life. One of the reasons she had touched so many was the generosity and joy that overflowed from her.
With mutual friends we always stayed in touch over the years. I will cherish and always remember the memories that you shared in my life and never forget that great loving woman Ilona Geer from Moxee, Washington.
Definitely a soul that will be deeply missed and not forgotten. Rest In Peace my friend, no more pain, until we meet again! 💝💖
