Shirley Ann Troutt, 91, of Portland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 6th, 2025, surrounded by loved ones in Buford, Georgia, where she resided for the last 6 years to be near family. She was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee, on November 13th, 1934. She met the love of her life, James, at a strawberry packing facility in Portland, Tennessee. They married on January 5th, 1953, and remained married until his death in 1993. She spent all of her married life in Nashville, Tennessee.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
During her final days, she loved being visited by her nieces and nephew; Deb, Richard, Jennifer, Jessica, Rachel, Leah and Myla who affectionately referred to her as ‘Tita”.
She is survived by her sons, Terry Troutt (Sharon) Sugar Hill, Georgia and Tim Troutt (Melanie) Buford, Georgia; grandchildren Meghan St Romain (Ryan) Sugar Hill, Georgia, Ashley Siedlecki (Ryan) Nashville, Tennessee, James Troutt and Miller Troutt – Buford, Georgia; and great grandchildren Matthew Brewster and DJ St Romain – Sugar Hill, Georgia, Scarlett Siedlecki – Nashville, Tennessee
She is preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents, Irene and Herman Lovell; and her sister Linda Denning.
Georgia Cremation in Duluth is assisting the family with arrangements.
