Gloria Deanne Solly, 90, of Fayetteville, GA., passed away December 14, 2025.
Gloria was born in St. Joseph Missouri, spent several years in Nebraska, Kansas, New York, Miami and finally moved to Fayetteville, Georgia where she was surrounded by many of her children.
She was an accomplished artist whose talent touched countless lives. She illustrated several children’s books, and many will fondly remember her delightful Hidden Pictures featured in Highlights magazine. She was also a proud founding member of the Society of Fine Artists in Fayette County, Georgia.
She was married to the love of her life, Robert Frank Solly, for 66 wonderful years. Today, after a long and meaningful journey, they are together again.
She is preceded in death by her mother Ella Bingham and her father Richard Bingham, her brothers Dick and Billy and her sisters Barbara and Margie.
A devoted mother, Gloria raised five children—Robert, Tom (Lori), Michael (Candy), Dan (Sandy), and Carolyn (Chris) —with unwavering love and encouragement. She adored her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each one a special light in her life.
Gloria generously shared her passion for art with the community, teaching classes at Hobby Lobby in Fayetteville, Georgia, where she inspired artists of all ages with her creativity, patience, and joy. Gloria continued to teach at home and invited her dear friends Kayre and Silvia to paint together every Tuesday.
A memorial service will be held at Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church on January 9, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.
Gloria will be deeply missed, and we hold close the promise that we will see her again.

Linda, John, Dayna & Lindsay Cernickey says
So sorry for you loss. Gloria was such a special lady. We had the pleasure of knowing her and Bob for many years. She and her loving husband Bob were like grandparents to our tchildren. They watched them grow and being blessed to have them for neighbors created a lot of memories with our family.
