Warlando Gonzales Monticello passed from this life on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Warly, as he was known, was born on September 3, 1942, in Cebu, Philippines. He came to Georgia in 2005 to live with his son and family. At 62, he enjoyed working at Costco for three years. After facing a series of illnesses, he was lovingly cared for by his family until he grew weaker and peacefully passed away.

He leaves behind his beloved children and their spouses: Carlo and his wife, Lyn; Roy and his wife, Jessie; Alain and his wife, Eunice; Irene and her husband, Robert; and their mother, Teresita. He is survived by his grandchildren: Carl Lemuel & Adrian Carlos (children of Carlo and Lyn); Victoria Love & RJ Jordan (children of Roy and Jessie); Ericka Danielle, Anaiah Isabelle, Shane Jairus (children of Alain and Eunice); and Elizabeth Claire (child of Irene and Robert).  He is remembered by his siblings: Carlotta, Charito, Cecilia, Manuel, and Salome.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Victoria and Faustino Montecillo.

He delighted in simple pleasures—ice cream, shrimp, noodles, and a cold soda—and took great joy in watching basketball, tennis, horse racing, and the Olympics. Above all, he cherished his talks with his grandchildren, encouraging them to save wisely, excel in their work, and pursue the dream of owning their own homes.

Georgia Cremation in Duluth assisted the family with arrangements.
