Briana Marie Greer, 58, of Jonesboro, Ga, was called home to Heaven on April 21, 2026.

Briana Marie Greer was adopted at birth in Detroit, MI to Clarence and Marilyn Greer; born on December 3, 1957. She was given the nickname “Bunny”  by her dad in her adolescent/teen years. She attended grade school at Winterhalter in Detroit, MI; graduating from John F Kennedy High School in Sacramento, CA in 1975. She attended Eastern Michigan University, majoring in Accounting.

When Briana returned to Michigan, she reunited with Robert Phillips and they were wed in 1985, raising 4 children in Detroit, becoming Briana M. Phillips. (Divorced)

Bunny spent most of her life in Detroit, MI along with either her children, grandchildren, and close family and friends. In 2021, She relocated to Ga with her daughter Laura and spent the rest of her time there. Although she was in Georgia, she continued to provide wisdom, guidance, encouragement and support to those she loved.

She worked for GM in the finance department for 18 years. She was a restorationist Christian denomination, practicing as Jehovah Witness.

Briana enjoyed planting gardens and flowers, painting, cooking, baking, campouts, and spending time with her children and grandchildren, all which she continued to do until her diagnosis of MS left her bedridden. She loved the joy of helping others, adopting other children; caring for them and giving them a place to call home.

Briana was preceded in death by her father: Clarence Greer; her son: Jonathan Greer, Sr.; her grandsons: Da’Varion Greer and Steven Bembry IV; and her fur baby: Thor. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters: Laura Phillips of Jonesboro, GA, Rachel Phillips-Cook (Marjlown Cook) of Detroit, MI; her son: Brian Greer of Jonesboro, GA; her mother: Marilyn Greer; her sister: Angela Adams of Sacramento, CA; her brother: Michael Greer of San Diego, CA; her grandchildren: Dashary Hamilton, DaMaya Greer, Kaylin & Kaylah Wooten, Ninyelle Smith, Nyasia Greer, Kiya Malone, Damon Greer Slaton, Da’Mari Greer Slaton, Damere Greer Slaton, Desinee Landers, Jaila Greer, Jonathan Greer,  Jr., Jaiden’Nicole Dortch, Dasia Phillips, Da’Sian Slater, Tyson Triplett, Tylan Triplett, DelShawn Phillips, Daniel Lee, Jr., and A’marie Long; and her great-grandchildren: Aubree, Zayvion, Aylah, A’llyn Lene, and Da’Sian Jr.
