William Charles Forward (also known as Bill or Skip), age 85, of Duluth, Georgia, passed away on August 30, 2026.
William C. Forward was born on February 24, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois. He lived most of his life in Illinois. He had two brothers, two stepbrothers, and a stepsister. He proudly served his country in the Army. He worked for several years for Centel Telephone Company in Des Plaines, Illinois, where everyone knew him as Skip, which was his nickname. He loved playing golf and cards with his neighbors, taking his daughters to Three Lakes, Wisconsin, for vacation, and teaching them how to water ski.
He was preceded in death by his father, William G. Forward; his stepfather, Robert Hagemeier; his mother, Clara Hagemeier; brother Robert G. Forward and sister-in-law, Kristen Forward; stepbrother Lee Hagemeier and his wife, Nancy Hagemeier; and stepsister, Madonna Sanders.
William is survived by his wife, Dana Musselman; former spouse, Mary Ann Forward; daughters, Suzanne R. Forward and Cheryl L. LaPlant (Craig LaPlant); grandchildren, Jarret LaPlant, Lauren LaPlant and Gavin Christensen; brother, Edward Wethington; and stepbrother, Terry Hagemeier.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, and information will be provided when plans have been finalized.
Georgia Cremation in Duluth assisted the family with arrangements.
