A Celebration of Life
Michael James “Mike” Williams
August 19, 1959 – October 7, 2026
His Life & Legacy
Michael James Williams, affectionately known as “Mike,” was born on August 19, 1959, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Henry Williams and Mary Ford. On October 7, 2026, Mike departed this earthly life at the age of 67, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Mike was a God-fearing man who knew the Word of God and understood the power of prayer. He was a man of strong character, a generous heart, and an unforgettable personality. His faith, wisdom, and encouraging spirit were among the many qualities that made him special to those who knew and loved him.
On April 24, 1986, Mike united in marriage with his beloved Dorothy Theresa Williams, whom he affectionately called his “Tender Cake.” Their union spanned more than 40 years and was filled with love, laughter, life’s challenges, and countless memories. Through the many seasons of life, they shared a bond that endured, building a family and a legacy that will continue for generations to come.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Mike spent his professional years working as a plumber before retiring. Outside of work, he found his greatest joy in the company of family and friends. Whether cheering for his beloved Atlanta Falcons, rooting for the Alabama Crimson Tide with a hearty “Roll Tide!”, or sharing one of his unforgettable jokes, Mike knew how to bring life and laughter into any gathering.
Mike was a sharp-dressed gentleman who took pride in his appearance and carried himself with confidence. Outgoing, outspoken, and unapologetically himself, he never hesitated to tell you exactly what was on his mind—sometimes with a few extra words for emphasis! Yet beneath his straightforward nature was a tender and affectionate heart. He could give you a piece of his mind, make you laugh, and remind you how much he loved you, all in the same conversation.
A Legacy of Love
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Williams and Mary Ford, and his brother, Glen Williams.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife of more than 40 years, Dorothy Theresa Williams; three sons, Leonardo Adams (Brandy), Carren “Bootsy” Adams (Tessa), and Thaddeus Williams (Alyssa).
Mike was the proud grandfather of fourteen grandchildren: Quintavious “Quin,” Abrianna “BriBri,” Quastacia “CeCe,” Chantavia, Tamya, Thaddeus Jr., Toryianna, Carrina, Charissa, Dequindre “Wally Dee” (Candace), Kimberlee, David, Abigail, and Laila.
His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Ezekiel, Carlos, Mila, Dreace, Ava, Khari, Kymari, and Lucas.
He also leaves behind extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories, laughter, wisdom, and love he shared.
Forever in Our Hearts
Mike’s life was a reflection of faith, family, generosity, and love. He was a man who could quote scripture, offer a heartfelt prayer, share a joke, and speak his mind without hesitation. He loved deeply, laughed freely, and lived unapologetically as himself.
Though his earthly journey has ended, his love will continue through the generations he leaves behind. His laughter will echo in cherished memories, his wisdom will remain in the hearts of his loved ones, and his presence will forever be felt by those fortunate enough to have known him.
A life well lived. A man deeply loved. A legacy that will never be forgotten.
