Ollita Burress Pendergrass, age 90, of Fayetteville, GA, passed away on October 17, 2026. 

Ollita was born in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Arthur William Burress and the late Dorothy Bakker Burress.  She graduated from Blue Island High School in Illinois.  She lived in Darien, IL for 40 years before moving to Lebanon, MO, and eventually settling in Fayetteville, GA, in 2019. 

For most of her working life, Ollita was a secretary and administrator.  She also generously volunteered her time at Mercy Hospital in Lebanon MO until her health no longer allowed her to continue. 

She enjoyed mall walking, traveling to the Gulf coast with friends, celebrating Margarita Mondays with her Red Bib cohorts, and entertaining her grandchildren on the farm.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. 

In her later years, Ollita enjoyed being pampered, socializing and playing bingo at Azalea Estates Assisted Living Center in Fayetteville, GA.  She was known for her infectious smile and a witty sense of humor.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon, MO and was devoted to her faith life and family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Pendergrass, brothers and sisters, Vera Burress, William Arthur Burress, Jean Burress and Daniel Burress.

She is survived by her sister: April Miller of Chetek, WI; children: Barry (Ann Shapiro) Pendergrass of Albany, NY, Diane Pendergrass (Thomas) Landin of Griffin, GA, Brian Pendergrass of Salem, MO and Angela Pendergrass of Laguna Woods, CA; grandchildren: Alexis Landin (Cory) Bogue of Cedar Falls, IA, Jacqueline (George Lui) Landin of White Bear Lake, MN, Joshua (Anastasia) Pendergrass of New York, NY and Rebecca Pendergrass of Albany, NY: great-grandchild: Dasha Pendergrass.

A Celebration of Life for Ollita is being planned for April 26, 2027 in Lebanon, MO.
