Deborah L. Heeger, 73, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Piedmont Hospital.

Born on October 8, 1953, in Youngstown, Ohio, Deborah was a graduate of Austintown-Fitch High School in Austintown, Ohio. She continued her education at Melodyland College in California and Christ for the Nations in Texas.

Deborah was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a loving home. Her family was an important part of her life, and she will be remembered for the love and care she shared with those closest to her.

Deborah was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Robert Heeger, Sr., who passed away in 2025, as well as her parents.

She is survived by her two sons, John Robert Heeger, Jr., and Daniel Patrick Heeger (Cayla); her three cherished grandchildren, MacKenzie Heeger, Brody Heeger, and Cadence Heeger, with Brody and Cadence being the children of Daniel and Cayla; her sister, Patricia Chase (Jerry); and her brother, Drew Laurie (Betty Lou).

Deborah’s memory will live on through her family and the lives of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those she leaves behind.
