Delores Ann Holton, 74, of Columbus, Ga passed away peacefully on May, 19, 2022.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, June 3rd at 3:00 pm at New Beginnings Fellowship Church, 3632 US Highway 80, Phenix City, AL 36870. Pastor Brad McDaniel will officiate. Family and friends will gather in the Fellowship Hall at the church after the service.
Delores was born May 22, in 1947, in Calhoun County, GA, daughter of the late Willie C Powell and Evelyn Powell of Phenix City, Alabama. She graduated from Central High School in 1966. During her career she served in various Administrative Assistant roles and worked as Childcare worker. Over the course of her career, she made many friends that she would continue to keep in contact with throughout her life. Delores loved to spend her time playing cards, listening to gospel music, and QVC shopping.
Other than her parents, she was proceeded in death by a sister-in-law, Joi Powell.
Delores leaves behind her loving family, which includes her husband, William “Neil” Holton; son Rodney Gilbert (Christina) of Charles Town, West Virginia; Daughter Angela Sellers (Robert) of Columbus, GA; Two brothers, Willie C Powell, Jr (Sara) and Calvin Powell; One sister, Carolyn Snell (Roger). Eight grandchildren, Bethany, Kelsiee, Amber, Robert, Tyler, Haley, Alanah, and Harper. Four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also, special close friend Barbara Fleming.
Georgia Cremation-Columbus is assisiting the family.

Delores was a wonderful, kind, and loving lady. I know my sister Joi is welcoming her in Heaven and they are having a great time together! She will be greatly missed, but we will all be together again one day. Praying for comfort and strength for all the family.
