February 19, 1935- September 23, 2024
Loving wife, mother, grandmother and Gigi.
Emmalee was born in River Junction, Florida, but spent her childhood and young adult years in Hapeville, Ga. She attended N. Avenue Elementary School and graduated from Hapeville High. Emmalee had a great sense of humor, known as the class clown, she was voted wittiest by her senior class. After high school she volunteered as a candy striper at St. Joseph’s hospital and worked at Davisons in the stationary department.
Emmalee loved to sing. She spent many years singing in the church choir. She enjoyed spending time and making memories with her family. She loved and looked forward to spending each holiday with them.
Emmalee was a founding and active member of Legacy Christian Church in Senoia, Ga. Her social life revolved around her church and her church friends. She loved attending church events and eating lunch with her friends at Mike and C’s (almost every single Sunday). Emmalee was devoted to her bible study group “The Crew” on Wednesday mornings. She loved her pastors, church family, and friends with all her heart.
At home she enjoyed spending time with her husband Al, playing games on her laptop, and reading her bible. She enjoyed decorating her home and would move (well dad would move) things around constantly to change things up a bit. She enjoyed all her plants and was especially proud of the plants she propagated from her childhood home.
The last few years, Emmalee was content sitting in her sunroom with her beloved husband Al. They enjoyed watching the many deer in their backyard. She also loved watching the birds eating off her many bird feeders.
Emmalee is survived by her loving, devoted, husband of 70 years Alfred J. Bushnoe, daughter Lorri Robinson, granddaughters, Amy Bouchell (John), Alisa Head (William), Erica Westbrook (John), Alison Williams (Chris), and Bethany Clayton (Dustin). Great grandchildren, Emily Head, Bryson Sandefur, Madelyn Head, Caroline Westbrook, Fisher Williams, and Maisey Clayton.
Emmalee is proceeded in death by her parents Robert Lee and Eula Lee Boyd, brothers Lynward and Lloyd Green, sisters Evelyn and Helen Dale, daughter Lisa Womack, granddaughter Katie Prevatt, and son in law Michael Robinson.

We often sat behind her at church and I would smile when I saw her hands raised in praise as we sang the worship songs. She is greatly missed, but I know those hands are raised in praise in Heaven, and we will sing again together someday !
