James Allen Sorrow, 62, passed away on March 24, 2025, in Fayetteville, GA. Born on June 18, 1962.
Allen was known for his multifaceted personality; stubborn yet gentle, hardheaded yet kind, and both loving and narcissistic. He was a cherished grandfather, father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend to so many.
Allen is survived by his wife, Kathy Storm; children, Lauren Storm, Crystal Sorrow, Lindsey Godby, and James Sorrow Jr.; grandchildren, William Puckett, Frederick Godby, Issiah Storm, Xavier Williams, Alyssa Harper, Alexander Storm, Caleb Edwards, Kylie Sorrow, Ava Sorrow, Brayden Harris, Tristan Bloom, Braxton Harris, Paityn Bloom, and Addison Sorrow; sister, Bonnie Herring; and brother, Thomas Sorrow along with his wife, Laura Trent along with many living nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Sorrow; mother, Shirley Butler Sorrow; and brother, Joseph Sorrow.
Professionally, Allen dedicated many years to his craft as a Truck Tire Repairman and a Commercial Painter, bringing color and new life to numerous structures and projects and keeping trucks rolling across America. His passion, however, extended beyond his work. A true outdoorsman and loved adventure. Allen relished riding his Harley Davidson, camping, catfishing, and sharing moments with his friends and family over a hot grill and a Budweiser.
Allen’s life will be celebrated on the grounds of 525 Hood Ave. Fayetteville, GA 30214, between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Those wishing to honor Allen’s memory can reflect with us at these times.
