Albert Del Carmen, Jr. 80 died Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at River Place Retirement Community in Columbus, GA.
Mr. Del Carmen was born June 8, 1941 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama the son of Alberto Del Carmen Calderon and Ethelyn Bomar Del Carmen. He was a retired Human Resources Manager for Tyson Foods, Inc. He was previously employed as a Sales Representative for Gillette. Mr. Del Carmen’s passion was aviation, his favorite job was working at Pan Am Airlines. He always wanted to pursue getting his pilots license but due to health condition he was unable to further his dream. Mr. Del Carmen was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Alice Culwell.
He is survived by his wife Nora Reiner Del Carmen, daughter Alison Del Carmen Robertson and her husband Matthew Robertson; grandchildren Colin Scott Robertson Del Carmen, Lucas Matthew Robertson Del Carmen and brother-in-law Ingram Culwell, cousins and other extended family and friends.
Memorial service for Mr. Del Carmen will be held 2:00 pm Friday, September 24, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia.

I will always remember my childhood memories with him present…weekends at The American Club in Guatemala, the beach, trick or treating during Halloween, Christmas. In recent years he was making phone calls as Santa Claus asking our daughters if they were behaving, and throughout the year he was always asking about them, always surprised them and made them laugh. We will miss him very much. He will be forever in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
