Albert Earl Atzbach, 72 of Columbus, Georgia was born August 7, 1944 in Iola, Kansas, the son of Henry William Atzbach and Mary Madison Atzbach. After high school, he was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War and remained in the Army for 24 years, retiring as a Staff Sergeant. After his retirement in 1986, Mr. Atzbach spent more than 20 years as a long haul truck driver having work for several companies including High Saw Transport.
Mr. Atzbach passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. The family will hold private services at a later date. He was preceded in death by a son, Berley Moore and a grandson, Charles Edward Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian F. Atzbach of Columbus, Georgia; his children, Charles Moore, Wanda Torre, Cindy Nash, Helen Moore, Wendy Moore, Jeffrey Moore, Rosella Henry and Albert Atzbach, Jr.; two brothers, Ralph Atzbach and Harold Atzbach; 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
