Alice Mae Watts

Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

Alice Mae Watts, 75 years old, of Macon, GA, passed peacefully from this life on November 15, 2023.

Alice was born March 10, 1948, in Macon, GA to Charlie and Fennie Lee (Zackery) Goodin. She grew up in Macon alongside her parents and seven siblings.

After high school, Alice got married and had one child, her daughter Tonia Watts. Alice worked as a cook at Davison Brothers for many years. Alice was a spiritual woman and enjoyed Sunday sermons from the comfort of her own home.

Alice was a true native of Georgia, spending her entire life in our great state. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, collecting coins, and especially cooking. Her family was particularly fond of many

of her dishes and she loved to feed family and friends. Alice adored her family and treasured the time she spent with them. She was even known as the “Favorite Aunt”. Alice was selfless, helpful and had a heart of gold. Alice had an amazing relationship with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the BEST grandma ever. She will truly be missed by them tremendously!

Alice was preceded in death by her parents: Charlie and Fennie Lee (Zackery) Goodin; her brothers: Leon Goodin and Sonny Goodin; her sisters: Evelyn Goodin and Betty Irvin. She is survived by her siblings Helen Murphy, Francis Rainey, and Mable Erving. Her daughter: Tonia Watts; grandchildren: Donte

Watts , Shante Watts , Shannon Simmons , and Shannia Simmons ; and great-grandchildren: Christian Watts, Mason Ziegler, and Amir Hixon.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for Ms. Watts at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Dementia Society in memory of Alice Watts. The Watts family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation – Fayetteville, 1086 Hwy 54 W, Fayetteville, GA 30214.
