Sabra Arean Allen (Darby), 60, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, formerly of Monroe, Michigan passed away at her home on Friday, February 28, 2014. Sabra was born in Monroe, Michigan on Monday, December 21, 1953 to Lucy Jean and William Darby. She attended Monroe High School and Monroe County Community College. Sabra worked as a licensed optician for over 20 years. Sabra or “Mimi” loved more than anything spending time with her three grandchildren. Sabra was also a member of 12 Stone Church, which is where she met so many of her close friends. Sabra is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Jason and Jessica Allen; brother: David Darby; sister: Terri Moore; grandson: Keaton; and granddaughters: Hadleigh and Ellory. Sabra was preceded in death by her father: William; mother: Jean; brother: Daniel; and infant son: William.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Sabra Allen will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Chapel of Georgia Cremation – Duluth, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until time of service at Georgia Cremation.
