Amie Jean Dileonardo, 90, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Saturday February 27, 2021 surrounded by family and friends.

Amie Jean was born in Taylor County, Georgia to Udolphus Sykes Underwood (father) and Martha Jane Brown Underwood (mother).

Amie Jean was a retired beautician and owned a beauty salon, Jean’s Beauty Shop on Hamilton Road in Columbus for many years.

She is survived by her husband Jack Dileonardo, 73 of Phenix City, AL; her daughter, Jean Elaine Phillips Smith, 69 of Phenix City, AL; grandson, Nathan Thomas Smith, 42 (Faith Schoenherr) of Columbus, Georgia; granddaughters, Amie Smith Torok, 34 (Tim) of Columbus, Georgia, Whitney Nicole Dileonardo, 35 of Phenix City and Selina Thomason, 52 overseas.

She is preceded in death by her former husband, George Louis Phillips; her grandson, Jonathan Paul Smith; and her sister, Sara Underwood Pennington.

A private celebration of life service will be held at home on Saturday, March 6th at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to Columbus Hospice of Georgia and Alabama.

    I love you my sweet friend it was a pleasure to get to know Mrs Amie at j.r.s when she and Mr Jack would come in to eat lunch. She would always talk about God we had some great conversations. You will truly be missed my sweet friend. I love you Mrs Amie.

    My daughter, Tammy Burns Trzpuc, granddaughter, Tori Burns and I boarded our horses at their place for many years.
    We spent many happy days with Jean and both her husbands. She will be missed.
