Andrew Brent Bird, age 45, affectionately known by his family and friends as “Little Andy,” passed away on December 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, adventure, and a heart as big as the outdoors.
Andy was the ultimate jokester and truly the life of every gathering. He lived for the next adrenaline rush, whether he was racing cars, navigating speed boats, or mastering his collection of RC helicopters. He was never more at home than when he was in nature, especially when hiking or hunting alongside his late father, Ben.
Following the loss of his mother in 1990, Andy remained a pillar of love for his family. He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Schmidt, and his brother, Adam Bird, both of whom he loved deeply. His family took immense pride in his recent professional success as a member of the Publix team—a testament to his commitment and dedicated work ethic.
Andy was one of the most loving humans known to man, though his journey was not always an easy one. He is now reunited with his mother and father, free from the challenges of this life. His family asks that you honor his memory by showing extra kindness to those who are struggling and by ensuring those you love to have the support they need.
Celebration of Life: Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM inside the Mausoleum Chapel at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery & Funeral Home in Marietta, GA. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Andy’s memory to the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation at www.hazeldenbettyford.org.
Georgia Cremation – Columbus is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I will always remember Little Andy as a gentle loving human being. He and I had a certain connection. I never forgot his birthday always reached out to him. Whenever we did see each other, we felt love.
Know that he is in my heart and always will be and the whole entire family as you grieve through this unimaginable time. Love aunt Doreene.
