Audrey Ann Kinzel, age 86, of Columbus, GA, passed away peacefully on July 24,
2024, at her home, surrounded by the ones she loved.
Audrey was born on November 24, 1937, in Muscogee, Wisconsin, to Walter and Alice
Drover. She married Arthur Kinzel and they shared 55 wonderful years together before
his passing.
Audrey leaves behind her son, Patrick; her daughter-in-law, Nicole; her grandson,
Brandon; her daughter-in-law, Kylie; and her great-granddaughter, Collins. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her daughter, Kathleen; her parents, Walter
and Alice; and her siblings, Nancy, Constance, David, Suzanne, Diane, Terry, and Tom.
Audrey was known for her love of shopping, enjoying a good glass of wine, and
cherishing time spent with her family. She had a knack for finding the perfect gift and
was always ready to share a laugh and a toast with those she loved. Her home was a
gathering place filled with warmth, love, and the sounds of joyful conversation. Her
vibrant personality and infectious laughter brought joy to every family gathering and
social occasion.
Family and friends will remember Audrey for her vibrant spirit, her generosity, and the
way she made everyone feel special. Her legacy of love and laughter will live on in the
hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Audrey was a beacon of
kindness and joy, always putting others before herself and making sure everyone felt
welcome and valued in her presence.
Audrey had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life, finding beauty in
everyday moments and inspiring others to do the same. She was a devoted friend, a
loving wife, a caring mother, and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love
extended beyond her immediate family, as she touched the lives of many with her
unwavering kindness and compassion.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Columbus Hospice Moon Road and
Keisha Stanford, who was a great caregiver and companion for Audrey. Their support
and care provided comfort during her final days, for which the family is eternally grateful.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Columbus Hospice Moon Road in her
memory, ensuring that Audrey’s spirit of giving continues to benefit others.
Audrey will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in
the hearts of her family and friends, a testament to a life well-lived and filled with love.
