Betty J. Williams, age 96 of Roswell, Georgia passed away on January 27, 2018.  Betty was a devoted wife, mother, adoring grandmother and committed friend; lover of  music, cooking, art, crafts, reading and travel.  She was known to be very energetic; her passion for life and her tremendous sense of humor were contagious.  Betty was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Fairview Park, Ohio for over 60 years, where she served on the Alter Guild, volunteered at the church office and a girl scout leader. She was a volunteer at Fairview General Hospital for 45 years. She moved to Georgia in 2010 to be near family. She attended St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Marietta, GA.  She was born in 1921 weighing only 2 pounds with a fierce determination to live, which carried her throughout her life.  Her family and friends were blessed by her love and support during her 96 years. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert R. Williams I, in 2002 and daughter-in-law, Laferne R. Williams (Thomas), in 2015.

Betty is survived by her children, Robert R. Williams II (Barbara) of Marietta, GA, Thomas A. Williams I of Venice, FL, Cheryl J. Williams Cook of Westerville, OH (Dale); grandchildren, Nancy Williams Beasley (Charly), Thomas A. Williams II, Sarah Williams (Dave), Ryan M. Cook (Katherine); great grandchildren, Hayden and Adair Beasley, Grayson and Georgia Cook.
