Betty Joyce Reeves, 85, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Columbus Hospice.

Mrs. Reeves was born Betty Joyce Tidd on August 29, 1933 in Columbus, Georgia, the daughter of  Ed Tidd and Mary Griffin Tidd. She retired as an executive secretary with Swift Textile in Columbus, Georgia. Mrs. Reeves was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Columbus and enjoyed her time gardening and working around her home. She was an avid doll collector. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Laura Pearl and her former feline companion Smokey.

She is survived by her husband Robert L. Reeves of Columbus, Georgia; her daughters Susan Parker of Canastota, New York; Janet Reddick of Atlanta, Georgia and Karren Richardson of Columbus, Georgia; sister Candice Gaspard of Magnolia, Texas; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
