In Loving Memory of Betty Malaine Reddick
June 23, 1930 – July 20, 2025
Betty Malaine Reddick, 95, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, at her residence in Phenix City, Alabama. She was surrounded by all her family and lots of love in her final days. She was born on June 23, 1930, in Jackson County Georgia. She made her home in Albany Georgia and retired from Westover High School in Albany, Georgia around 1990. She left a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Betty was a member of the Shrine Club in Leesburg, Georgia for many years. She loved spending time with all her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Annie Lee Tanner; her husband, Douglas Snider; her long-time companion, Richard Hunter; her sister, Vivian Mathews; and her brother, Otis Tanner.
A loving mother and grandmother, Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas Snider Jr. and Michelle Snider of Marietta, GA, and her daughter, Susan Snider (Jamie Massey) of Fortson, GA. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to three grandchildren, Miranda Mewbourne (Jacob) of Acworth, GA, Douglas Snider III of Denver, CO, and Prather Massey of Fortson, GA. Betty was also a cherished great grandmother to two great grandchildren, Ashtyn and Espen Mewbourne of Acworth, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty had a deep love for her family. She was a very caring and lovely lady. Her legacy will forever live on in the stories and memories we share with one another, and she will be deeply missed by us all.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Georgia Cremation – Columbus is assisting the family with the arrangements.
