Beverly Joan Beck-Gaultney

Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

Beverly Joan Beck-Gaultney, 98, of Peachtree City, Ga, passed away on March 29,
2026.

Beverly was born April 26, 1927, in Hutchinson, KS to Floyd and Doris (Curlis)
Simon. She grew up in Hutchinson alongside her parents, her two brothers and her
extended family. Beverly attended Hutchinson High School for a period of time and
later obtained her GED over 60 years later.

Beverly met her first love, Don Beck, while in high school. After high school, Beverly
married Don and the couple had twin boys, Larry and Gary. In 1999 Beverly married
for the second time after reconnecting with her childhood best friend and the love of
her life, Jim Gaultney. Beverly and Jim lived in Petaluma, CA until Jim’s passing in
2011.

Beverly worked in hospital administration in Marina Del Rey, CA at Marina Mercy
hospital, currently known as Cedar’s Sinai. She called home to many places in
California, also living for a time in Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands, part of
Micronesia in the south pacific. Later, she moved with her family to Chicago, Il and
later back to Petaluma, CA, before settling in Peachtree City, GA to spend her final
years.

A devout Presbyterian, Beverly was a member of Evergreen Church in Peachtree
City, GA. She adored her church community and loved spending time with her
Sunday bible study group

For the last several years, Beverly gleefully spent her time visiting with her family
and friends, watching the Hallmark channel, and enjoying an evening cocktail. She
was known as a creature of habit and liked sticking to her daily routine. The last few
years she resided at The Reserve, which was very close to Larry and Linda’s home,
and she was blessed to be able to see them almost every single day.

Affectionately known as Mimi to those who loved her, Beverly will be remembered
for her devotion to the lord and the unconditional love she had for her entire family.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband: James Gaultney; her parents: Floyd
and Doris (Curlis) Simon; and her brothers: Bill Simon and Jerry Simon. Beverly’s
son, Larry Beck’s untimely passing occurred a mere six weeks after Beverly passed
away. She is survived by her sons: Gary Beck (Mary) of Pasadena, CA, Steve
Gaultney, and Rick Gaultney; her daughter: Kim Gaultney; and her grandchildren:
Daniel Beck of New York, Thomas Beck of Georgia, Chris Beck of California, and
Erin Beck also of California.

Beverly will be laid to rest next to her husband, Jim Gaultney, in beautiful Petaluma,
California.
