Brett W. Harper, a loving son and a friend of many passed away at home in Loganville, GA on November 3, 2022. Brett was born the first son of a set of twins born on November 8, 1995, to Cynthia Herren and Bruce Harper in Auburn, GA. Though he was supposed to be Baby B, he was determined to get into this world and pushed his brother aside to come into the world first.
That same determination carried with him throughout his life. Brett was a problem solver. No job was too big. No favor asked of him was too much. No matter the cost to himself, he always lent a helping hand to those around him. Loved ones always cherished talking with Brett and hearing his intelligent perspective on different ideas sprinkled with his signature sense of humor. He gave his all to his family and his friends, whom he loved with all his heart.
Brett enjoyed fishing, nature, and completing tasks with his hands. He was a skilled mechanic and found pride in using his skills to help his friends and family whenever called upon. He answered too many names. “Brett”, “Brent”, “Brettina,” “Snuggle Bun” or even “Alec” (so used to be being confused for his twin).
Brett Harper is survived by his parents Bruce Harper, Cynthia Herren, and Kenny Herren; his siblings Kirsten Gaudino, Alec Harper, Lacey Harper, and Becca Herren; his stepsiblings Kenneth Herren and Mandy Herren; his grandparents “Papa Jack”, “Granny Pat”, Ed Harper, and Jean Harper.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ken Barnhart and Joyce Barnhart. His memory and stories will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 20th from 1-3 pm at the Ruby Forest Clubhouse. 4175 Cherry Ridge Walk, Suwanee, GA 30024. The family requests that attendees dress in bright and colorful outfits, and avoid any black or dark-colored clothing.

Cynthia I’m so sorry for the loss of Brett. We were living next door when the twins were born, he was such a cute little tyke. Our granddaughter and you three oldest were inseparable for quite some time. Just retain the sweet memories and good times you enjoyed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the kids. I so understand your sorrow, it’s so very hard to give up you child, it’s not easy but with God by your side it becomes bearable.
