Carlton Byron Thornton was born February 14th, 1954 in Columbus, Georgia to Marion LaJune Watson and the late Charles Byron Thornton. Mr. Carlton was a self-employed, retired mechanic. He enjoyed working on just about anything he could get his hands on, including his motorcycle. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and spending time in the woods, but his most loved hobby was jug fishing. Mr. Carlton had a granddaughter, Waverly Nicole Thornton, which he loved dearly
Carlton Byron Thornton, 64, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 8th, 2018. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Byron Thornton and brother, Mike Thornton.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mrs. Jean Ann Thornton of Columbus, GA; his son, Carlton Brian Thornton of Columbus, GA; his granddaughter, Waverly Nicole Thornton; his mother, Marion LaJune Watson of Ashburn, GA; brother, Tim Thornton and his wife, Elizabeth of Ashburn, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service with family and close friends will be held on 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 17th, 2018 at Cascade Hills with Pastor Bill Purvis officiating.
