Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

Carmen Delia Pérez Acevedo, 88, of Columbus, Georgia, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live.”
— John 11:25

Carmen Delia was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the heart of her family—known for her kindness, quiet strength, unwavering faith, and unconditional love.

Carmen Delia found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved tending her garden, where she nurtured beautiful flowers with patience and care. She enjoyed arts and crafts, creating meaningful keepsakes for those she loved. Above all, she expressed her love through cooking. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where family gathered around delicious meals, laughter, and cherished memories.

A defining moment in Carmen Delia’s faith journey came on May 5th, 2024, when she was baptized at Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal M.I. Sendero De Luz, publicly professing her faith in Jesus Christ. Her relationship with the Lord brought her peace, hope, and strength, and it remained the foundation of her life.

Carmen Delia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Maria Magdalena Acevedo and Bernabé Pérez.

Although her family grieves her passing, they do not grieve without hope. Carmen Delia’s faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life, and they rejoice in the promise that she now rests in His eternal peace, reunited with loved ones in the presence of her Savior.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
— Matthew 25:23

Carmen Delia’s legacy of faith, compassion, generosity, and unconditional love will live on through the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered until the day her family is reunited with her in the presence of the Lord.
