June 6, 1954 – August 25, 2021
Carol Ann Dixon was born on June 6, 1954 in Harlem, New York. The 14th of 16 children born to Raymond and Jennie Dixon. Carol was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was raised in a loving household, which included twelve siblings until they all reached adulthood.
Education
Carol grew up in Englewood, NJ and graduated from Dwight Morrow High School in 1972 where she earned her diploma. She later attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. She then went on to start her career, working at Sun Chemical Bank. Her nieces and nephews loved that job, as they often attended company picnics with her. She spent most of her career working for the United States Government as a Social Security Administrator for over 20 years. Carol often used her expertise from her work with Social Security and her loving personality to help many of her friends and family. She retired from the Social Security office in 2012, and then relocated from Wallington, NJ to Duluth, GA where she spent many years with her family and friends serving Jehovah. Carol loved to travel, and has been on many enjoyable vacations, including cruises and international conventions with her sisters, family, and friends.
Service to Jehovah
With all of Carol’s accomplishments and enjoyments in life, her greatest love was her dear God Jehovah. In 1985, she dedicated her life to Him and began on her life-long journey of faithful service. She had the privilege of enjoying many avenues of service. She spent many years as a member of the American Sign Language congregation, worked on projects for the Local Design Committee, was a tour guide at the Jersey City Assembly Hall (Stanley Theater), and served as a regular pioneer for many years. Her sincere love for Jehovah and infectious personality allowed her to assist many of her friends and family members to also come to know and love Jehovah. Carol continued joyfully in her service to Jehovah until she peacefully fell asleep at the age of 67 on August 25, 2021.
Family
Carol is predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Jennie Dixon; brothers, Raymond Dixon Jr., John Dixon, George Dixon; and sisters, Marilyn Dixon and Eula Williams.
She is survived by her brothers, Richard Dixon (Carolyn), Alexander “Butch” Dixon (Jacqueline), Thomas Dixon (Flora), and Leonard Dixon (Melanie); sisters, Juanita Parker (Albert “Sonny”), Roberta Stacey, Victoria Hall, Diana Bivens and a host of loving “children”, her nieces and nephews, to whom she was a second mom. Dearest family of, my friend, Carol Dixon,
I am so sorry that you are experiencing the sting caused by the death of a most beautiful woman. Carol is indelibly engraved in my heart. I loved her for many things. My most memorable was the heart warming way she would say, “Thank you very much.” My grandniece, Kazzy, and I always said, in unison, “Carol Dixon!” every time we heard someone say, “Thank you very much.” I am looking forward to the future resurrection when I can thank our God, Jehovah, for bringing our dear Carol back to us. May you find the courage to face tomorrow in the love that surrounds you today.

Our hearts are truly heavy. My mother and I were recalling some of many fond memories with Carol. It seems as though this is what we have to hold onto to deal with this terrible loss. She endured and so she is safe in our Almighty God Jehovah’s memory. This is so reassuring. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love you.

My dear spiritual sister and friend Carol, I have no words to express how much I’ll miss you. I’m so thankful for all the fun things me, you, Dee and Vicky did together and all the great pictures and videos I have to serve as wonderful memories. You were inspiring, funny and lovable (even when you would out of the clear blue’ send me a text during the meeting “You’re Mean”😉🤣 then quickly take it back with “No, you’re really Lovable”, then I’d call you “Passive Aggressive”)in fact those were our last words that Friday before. I’m so happy I got to see you and spend that time with you. I’m heartbroken 💔, but you we’re such a faithful servant of Jehovah, down to the end and I so look forward to seeing you again soon! I am encouraged by your example of faith and strength. You know I’m going to take care of Dee….and Vicky.
Love you bunches! 😪😪🙏🏽🙏🏽♥️♥️

Dixon Family,
Carol’s passing brought back to our minds many fond memories when she was with us in the Garfield English Cong. We shared a lot of laughs together, she was a pleasure to be around. Her love for Jehovah was obvious. We look forward to rekindling our friendship with Carol in the resurrection. We are both happy we had the pleasure of meeting some of you. Please accept our sincere condolences.

Dixon family,
My heart is full and my eyes are even fuller. I still remember the day Pamela introduced us to you, Dee and Carol, WOW! Loved you all at first sight. So encouraging and expressed great love for Jehovah. What a beautiful example you are and have been to me and so many. My eyes will adjust for a bit until I see my dear friend Carol again. I know it’s soon because our wonderful father, Jehovah, says so. Then the fullness in my eyes will return with a smile to match, until then my friend.
Love,
Latonya

My heart is heavy with the loss of our dear sister. I am grateful for the comfort of our Father during this time. I love the feelings of our dear God, Jehovah, “You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands” (Job 14:14, 15) He eagerly anticipates the time when faithful ones, like our dear Carol, return to life in the resurrection. I too am so eager for the time when we will be united again in paradise forever. 🌺💗
