Carolyn Gordon Waldrop passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 21, 2023. She was born on April 6, 1934 to Dell Basel and Nora Nolan (Rogers) Gordon of Mulberry, Arkansas.  After graduating from Mulberry High School, Carolyn Gordon married Alton O’Neal Waldrop December 21, 1951. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters Kay Still and Judy Waldrop, and brothers Donald Loren Gordon and Alfred Roger Gordon.

      She is survived by her sister Marion Rosalee Bell, children Joy Waldrop, Paula Poteat (Mark), and Tamala Waldrop-Samford, grandchildren Kerstyn Waldrop, Tabitha Poteat, Bristow Samford, Waldrop Samford (Alyssa), and Ty Samford, and her great grandchildren Lillian Martin and Ella Samford.

     Carolyn Waldrop was known by many names, each depending on which walk of life you met her on. She was either Tiny, Mom, or most recently, Granny. She was the purest example of unconditional love. Through all of life’s challenges she always managed to show up, giving love and strength to her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
