After a long journey with pancreatic cancer Carolyn passed away early Friday morning, December 13th, to be with the Lord.
Mrs Windsor was born in Phenix City, Alabama. Preceding in death are her father, Kenneth R Morgan and her paternal grandparents, Robert Lamar Morgan and Gretchen Rawls Morgan. Maternal grandparents Charlie Thomas Underwood and Ruth Catherine Lawson.
Carolyn is survived by many loving family members, George David Windsor, her husband of 45 years who started as her high school sweetheart. Her two daughters, Kristin and Randi, whom she was so proud of and loved more than herself. Her grandchildren, Kileigh, David, Charlotte and Lake, who were the absolute light of her life. She would put them before herself at any given moment. Her mother, Frances Morgan, who loved her tremendously and always enjoyed any time they could get together. Her sister, Denise Ladner, and her husband Richard, who loved her immensely and have helped her through this journey. Her brother, Donald Morgan, who she loved without a doubt. She will be missed deeply by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins as well as close friends and past coworkers.
Carolyn graduated from Spencer High School in 1977. She also earned her associate’s degree many years later online from Grantham University. Carolyn retired from Aflac with over 30 years of insurance experience, where she met some of her closest and most loved friends.
The family takes comfort in knowing that Carolyn is whole again, cancer free and is reunited with those who went before her. Her kind spirit and sweet presence will be missed tremendously.
The family would also like to extend thanks and appreciation to those that have prayed for her during her journey, as well as the endless messages, texts, cards, and calls that have helped to keep her spirits lifted.
Thank you to the staff at Piedmont and John B Amos, most lovingly Dr Kumar, for all they did to help her fight this battle. Carolyn remained strong, positive and courageous throughout this last year and a half. A lot of that strength came from her two new furry companions, Mocha and Coco, who she loved dearly. She will definitely be an inspiration to those who watched her fight.
The family would Ike to invite those who loved Carolyn to Cox Funeral Home in Hamilton Ga for a visitation from 1-2pm with a short service following on Thursday, December 19th. Dress is casual.

Kristin and Randi- I am so sorry for the loss of you mom. I remember her from elementary school and her always smiling. I know words cannot change any feelings as the loss of a mom is more painful than anything in the world. Moms are always forever best friends, nurturers, confidants, and protectors. She will always be with everyone and be the guardian angel always above.
