Charles R. Smith

Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

The family of Mr. Charles R. Smith, born on August 13, 1940, in Cuthbert, Georgia, would like to share the news of his passing on February 11, 2025. Chuck, as he was called by friends and family, is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosamaria, their three children, and multiple grand and great grandchildren.

Chuck lived a very rich life and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Chuck was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served in the early sixties. He relished history and was an officer in the Sons of Confederate Veterans reenactment groups, devoted to all things Southern.

His profession was technical in audiovisual electronics, but he also enjoyed playing musical instruments and fine arts, such as baroque music, sacred paintings, and leather and woodcrafts.

Chuck was a devout Catholic, and a parishioner at Holy Family Church in Columbus, Georgia. May God bless and rest his soul, as we give Him thanks for life’s many blessings and especially for our loved ones.

Georgia Cremation – Columbus is assisting the family with the arrangements.
