Cindy Leanna Curley, 62, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on January 6, 2022. She is survived by her five children, Dixie Curley of Villa Rica, GA; Jessica Curley, of Whitesburg, GA; Christine Kennedy (Phillip), of Fayetteville, GA; Tommi Jo Harris (Keith), of Chugiak, AK; and Thomas Curley (Sarah), of Evans, GA, as well as her grandchildren, Tahlia; Masselin; Kyler; Cason; Ethan; and Megan, and countless friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Peggy Stringer and her brothers, Marcus and Ricky Stringer.
Cindy was loved by all who knew her. She was a fiercely loving mother and grandmother, and she extended that love to anyone who needed it. She was a dedicated reader, and she never stopped learning. To have a chat with Cindy was to join her in thinking through the things she had been reading lately, which is one of the things that made her such a pleasure to be around. She had a beautiful appreciation for both plants and animals; she loved to plan the spring garden, always thinking of the enjoyment of the butterflies, and she was devoted to her canine and feline friends, who join us all in mourning her loss. Cindy’s spirit will certainly live on in all her knew her, and we will be the better for it.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Sardis Methodist Church in Rockmart, GA (182 Sardis Road, Rockmart, GA 30153). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Cindy’s name to Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue.

Cindy was such a beautiful and loving person!
We became very good friends and I enjoyed every long talk or text. Each one ended with I love you and Big hugs. Last text was New Years, I let her know we were sick and I thought it was Covid and she replied Ditto, her but not Dixie.
Gosh, I’m really gonna miss her, the text and ours long talks and laughs.
I am praying for all your family, and I love them all.
Fly high my friend, until we meet again. Love and hugs.
We are still not out of the woods with this virus so we probably won’t be there for the service. Praying for you all.

To the entire family your mom was a dear friend through many years and such a joy to be around. We had many great memories of the ball park and all the hours spent together. I am so sorry for your loss I loved your mother dearly. I will be praying for peace and comfort for all of you as you face this difficult time without her. You all are amazing kids and she loved you very much. I was just speaking to my friend, Pib, about the loss and she spoke of the kindness, Thomas, showed toward her son in his time of need. She raised you to have the love and kindness to others. She will always be with you. Please know we are here for you.
Much love

I never knew your mom to talk to her in person but she lived in you and so I do know her. She was love, hope, and caring for all that came to cross her pass how do I know because that what
she installed in you and that what I see and feel
when I am around you.
May God keep you in his care, she can now share
all the stories about you with your child and they
will both smile.
Lucy Gamble says
Dixie you maybe wondering what child? You and your mom have care for people and (4) legs children’s also passed and present. The last time
I really I had the blessing to be around her in person that one time help me to know that to know her only for a moment in time was to love
her ways, passion, and her children’s she cared
for and your little four legged children’s and your sisters little ones loved her to just like grandchildren all of them wanted her time and
her attention.
Take care of yourself and your little one and hers I know they missed her to.. God be with you all.

Dixie,
My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.. I wish we had gotten the time to do that lunch we spoke of doing so often. Circumstances prevented us from getting together but we were instant friends. A text or a call instantly brightened my day. My life was filled with two more wonderful friends having met both of you.
I am so sorry for your loss.

Dixie: I am so glad I was able to meet your mother–however briefly–in the fall. I felt that I knew her from all of our conversations. I wish I could have attended her celebration of life to get to know her better. I am thinking of you and your family.

I read about Cindy and felt I should write to you and the family. I did not know them but as part of my Christian ministry I want to offer you some words of comfort and hope as you grieve the loss of your loved one. The bible describes the world we live in at 2 Timothy 3:1-7. Perilous and critical times unlike any other time in history we have to deal with. Unfortunately Cindy lost her life to death and I am sure your hearts are sadden.
The good news is that Our Creator can read Cindy’s young and beautiful heart and He wants her to live forever.
Jesus, God’s son said at John 5:28-29 that in the future all those who’ve died will be resurrected. The bible further says that in the future the earth will be cleansed and full of God worshipping people.
(Psalm 37:10,11,29). We will live forever and death will be no more (Revelation 21:3-4). These promises from God are for us all. I hope you and the family find comfort and peace during this difficult time.
You will see her again! Please stay strong and keep praying my friend.
For more information and bible comfort please go to JW.org and search any bible question you want and I promise you will find the answers you need.
Your friend in Christ,
