Mr. Connie G. Mills, 83, of Columbus, Georgia passed away January 15, 2021 at Columbus Hospice. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anna Lois and Wiley Mills; siblings, Christine Mills, Ruth Mills Gamble, and infant William Thomas Mills; grandchildren, Thomas Allen Richardson and Infant Mills-Harris.
He was born October 10, 1937 and raised in Slocumb, Alabama, but lived most of his life in Columbus, Georgia. He retired from Elevator Service Company as a repair technician . He was a devout Christian and former Sunday School teacher. He adored being outdoors whether gardening, hunting, fishing or four wheeling. He was an avid fan of Alabama and the Atlanta Falcons football teams. He proudly served in the US Army, stationed in Germany.
Worshipful Brother Connie Genious Mills was a Past Master of Friendship Lodge No. 706. He served for 48 years, 11 months and 27 days before entering the Celestial Lodge above.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Janice (Bob) Stover, Connie (Mike) Russell and Cyndi (Richard) Hardy; siblings, Annette (Doug) Linton and Bobbie (Rick) Santos; grandchildren, Dolly Sapp, Rob Stover, Amanda (Marie LaFleur) Bruce, Brad (Melissa) Dykes, Jenna (Daniel) Bryant, April (Aaron) Hiscox, Hunter (Chelsea) Hardy, Jason Richardson, Rob (Kayla) Russell, Sean Harris, Anne Marie (Kyle) Debrabant and Allison (Dalton Sears) Harris; nineteen beloved great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
He will always be known as a loving Son, Brother, Daddy, PawPaw, and Uncle.
Family graveside services will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Slocumb, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his honor.

Bubba Lonnie was a very good man and a loving father. He was not only my brother-in-law but another dad to me. I have some great memories growing up, especially listening to Dean Martin records with him. Thank you for always being here for me when I was growing up
