Connie Michelle Ezell Knuckles was born August 23, 1970 in Columbus, Georgia to David Ezell and the late Dorothy Ezell. From a young age, Connie loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was known to be a “do first, ask later” type of girl. She was a member of the band and was also a cheerleader in school. She got her first job as a teenager as a waitress at the Crab Trap before becoming a transcriptionist with Columbus Clinic. She spent most of her working years in the Atlanta area working as a legal secretary for various firms.
In her spare time, Connie enjoyed watching and cheering on her favorite NFL team, the Atlanta Falcons. She would always sport her Tony Gonzalez jersey whether the Falcons were playing at home or on the road. She was known to enjoy her evening night cap to ease the stress of the day. While she was successful in her career, her greatest passion and work was being a devoted and loving mother to her daughter. She supported her daughter in all endeavors and served as a “Guard Mom,” while her daughter was a member of the Color Guard Team.
Connie Michelle Knuckles, 48, of Columbus, Georgia and formerly Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Columbus Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her mother; paternal grandparents; maternal grandfather, and beloved niece, Kimberly.

I have known Michelle since second grade when we moved to Georgia and went to Dimon elementary school together. She was such a sweet friend to me all through Elementary School and we kept in touch in Middle School and reconnected a few years ago on Facebook. She and Danielle came and stayed with us a few years ago in Tampa. We had a wonderful visit. My prayers, thoughts, and love are with her family and especially Danielle, Tabby and her Dad.

I am so sorry to hear that Michelle passed away. I know the family knew it was coming due to her diagnosis, but it never makes it any easier. I know she was the light that lit up the room any time she was around. She was a very warm, funny and loving lady. She had a special place in her heart for her pets. I just saw this and realized she lost her battle. All of your family will stay in my prayers as you learn to daily cope with this loss.
