COOPER – John Douglas Cooper, age 92 of Loganville Georgia, Passed Away on Monday July 14, 2014. Graveside services will be held 2:30 P.M., Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Watts Avenue, Laurens, South Carolina. Mr. Cooper was born August 17, 1921 in Travelers Rest, South Carolina and was a long time resident of Greenville, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Essie Owens Cooper, His parents, William Norris and Tessie McCulley Cooper and step son, James Thompson. He is survived by two step daughters, Faye Goodwin and Jean Clark, eleven grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II.
